The Western Australian Motor Industry Foundation was established to provide an avenue for funding, sponsorships and other benefits to support a range of charitable purposes within the Western Australian community.
As a major economic force in Western Australia , second only to the resources industry, the motor industry holds a strong position to play a positive role in the community by supporting worthy causes and provide opportunities to those who may otherwise be denied the chance of a better future.
The motor industry in Western Australia has a high profile, with many significant business successes throughout its history.

But the industry's service to the community is often taken for granted or overlooked.
The Foundation recognises that the motor industry touches lives in so many ways and that it has the potential to make a difference by giving back to the community.
This long-held vision is being turned into reality by The Western Australian Motor Industry Foundation through the support of those less fortunate or disadvantaged, by enhancing and improving lives, uplifting those individuals, their families and their communities. It is the belief of the Foundation that when society progresses in this way, the entire community benefits.
The Motor Industry Foundation has identified broad areas to which its funding and support will be directed. The identified causes include:
- Assistance in the provision of low-cost, or no-cost vehicles to deserving members of the community who are in critical need of such assistance.
- Assistance to victims of motor vehicle accidents, who have not been adequately compensated or assisted through third party insurance or other forms of compensation.
Assistance to disadvantaged youth through suitable training and employment opportunities in the industry.
